Anime Episode & Manga Chapter Release Tracking
Seasonal cours, weekly episode schedules, chapter releases, hiatuses and the simulcast delays that break them.
Anime runs on a seasonal structure that makes it unusually predictable and unusually easy to get wrong. Series are grouped into quarterly cours, most run weekly within them, and a schedule published before a season starts holds for most of it. The exceptions — a delayed episode, a recap week, a split cour resuming two quarters later — are exactly the events that a static schedule does not capture.
Manga is the opposite: highly irregular. Weekly and monthly serialisation is interrupted by author hiatuses, magazine break weeks and holiday schedules, often announced only in the previous issue. The gap between 'this is a weekly series' and 'a chapter arrives this week' is where most of the useful information lives.
What this category tracks
- Seasonal premieres
- New and returning series by cour, with premiere dates and episode counts where announced.
- Weekly episode releases
- Episode availability including simulcast timing, and delays against the published schedule.
- Chapter releases
- Serialised chapter publication for tracked titles, including volume compilation dates.
- Hiatus and resumption notices
- Announced breaks, magazine skip weeks and confirmed return dates.
What matters most here
Split cours are the structural detail that makes a naive schedule useless. A series announced as twenty-four episodes may air twelve, pause for a quarter, and return — and during the pause it is neither finished nor currently airing. Recording the pause and the announced resumption as their own events is the only way the schedule stays honest across the gap.

Common questions
Do you link to unofficial sources?
No. Entries link to official platform listings, publisher pages or studio announcements. Unofficial distribution is out of scope and we do not index it.
Why do simulcast times vary within a season?
Because the broadcast schedule they follow varies — sports coverage, holidays and special programming all shift the original airing, and the simulcast shifts with it. Those shifts are recorded as delay events against the expected slot.
